Designed to detect panel reactive IgG antibodies (PRA) to Class I Human Leukocyte Antigens (HLA)
The LIFECODES HLA Antibody Identification ELISAs are designed to be used as companion products to the HLA Antibody Screening ELISAs: QuikScreen® and B-Screen®. Antibodies previously detected with the Screening products may be further characterized with an HLA Antibody Identification product to determine a panel reactive antibody (PRA) value and specificity.
Quik-ID® Class I provides a panel which represents a wide variety of different Class I HLA glycoproteins. The HLA glycoproteins are derived from platelets or EBV transformed B lymphocyte cell lines of 40 individual donors, each immobilized in a different microwell by means of a monoclonal antibody specific for HLA Class I. The HLA Class I type of each donor and the number of wells containing each antigen is provided on the Recording Sheet. Gen-Probe is updating documents to comply with changes to HLA allele naming designations by W.H.O.
